Deepening International Cooperation to Promote Educational and Cultural Exchange"
On October 4, 2024, award-winning students and parents from Vietnam's FPT University, participating in the FPT Edu Color Up 2024 program, visited Asia University for an exchange and tour aimed at strengthening the collaboration between our institutions. This event comes shortly after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Asia University and FPT University, focusing on enhancing interaction and cultural understanding among faculty members and students from both universities.
During the opening remarks, Dr. Anthony Y. H. Liao, Vice Dean for the Office of International Affairs at Asia University, stated, “This visit is not just an academic exchange between students; it is a collision and fusion of cultures. We hope this opportunity will broaden students' international perspectives and encourage FPT's visiting students to consider studying at Asia University, becoming a part of our university.”
Academic Exchange
Following the opening ceremony, Dr. Hsueh-Ting Chu, the Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at the College of Information and Electrical Engineering, shared insights on the future prospects of collaboration. He emphasized that such exchanges significantly enhance students’ academic capabilities and international competitiveness.
Guided Tour
During the visit, the Vietnamese students expressed great interest in the architectural structure of Asia University’s Modern Art Museum, and the exhibited artworks captivated their attention. A doctoral student from the Creative Product Design Department assisted in guiding the tour, while the museum’s Deputy Director, Tsai Ming-Jiun, provided an English explanation of the exhibition. This allowed the students to better understand the background and significance of the exhibits.
Cultural Exchange
The event also featured enjoyable cultural and language exchanges between Asia University students and their Vietnamese counterparts, fostering a deeper friendship as they shared their cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
As the exchange program concluded, the students from FPT University expressed their reluctance to leave the Asia University campus, eagerly anticipating their next visit. Additionally, FPT University has already engaged in discussions with Asia University regarding future exchange programs and schedules, promising to further strengthen our partnership.
